This unique flat purse was handmade by Kashi and other survivors of sex trafficking in Kolkata. As trainees at one of IJM's aftercare partners, these young women regain their dignity, confidence and independence, acquiring valuable sewing and other life skills.

Recycled, organic, handmade, empowering survivors and the perfect travel companion. Each piece is a ‘one of a kind’ – the fabric varies from bag to bag and when you buy it, you can be confident that you are the only person with that exact item.
The name of this product came as friends travelled around Europe using one of the very first ones made. It was the joint money kitty for travelling expenses. Made in Kolkata, used as a kitty…and the name stuck. There is also a small pocket inside.
